Following tons of speculation over the collaboration, Dior announced an upcoming collaboration for their fall/winter 2020 men’s collection alongside Stussy founder, Shawn Stussy. “Kim Jones has brought me out of retirement to work with him and his Dior family on fall 2020,” wrote Stussy in an Instagram post, “no matter what goes down I want to thank the whole crew over there for taking me in and making me feel welcomed… now I am just going to enjoy the next couple days and watch it unfold…”

Stussy left his eponymous Californian beachwear label back in 1996 and has since been retired making this the founder’s biggest project in over 20 years. Though we don’t have any confirmation of what to expect yet, judging by the video released on Dior’s Instagram page, we gather it’s something along the lines of a nostalgic, VHS shot, palm tree laden collection set in the heart of ’90s South Beach. Dior has teased that some of the pieces in the show required over 2,600 hours of beading, while others are created with labor-intensive Japanese printing techniques.
The highly anticipated blend of culturally tuned streetwear and high-end luxury will be available to view at the upcoming pre-fall/winter 2020 Dior men’s show on December 3rd in Miami coinciding with Art Basel.
