Dive into Dior Men’s 2021 Beachwear Capsule Collection

Another creative feat by Kim Jones and Kenny Scharf

Dior steps in with the ultimate seasonal lineup. The French Maison taps American artist Kenny Scharf for another collaboration. As New York approaches it’s sweltering summer months, residents will be looking for a wardrobe update, whether your rooftop-bound or opt for a seaside escape, this capsule is fit for all.

The new “Beachwear Capsule” unveils everything from a print shirt and matching swim shorts, to beach essentials including towels, sunglasses, water bottles and espadrilles. A cool and breezy selection of looks that promises the most luxurious drip.

Kim Jones officiates another marriage between high fashion and art. Scharf’s iconic cartoons first rose to prominence alongside his 1980s East-Village art scene cohorts, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring, and have taken shape on Dior garments before.

Creature-like elements of Scharf’s iconic Viva Mare Viva Mar painting animate the latest looks in pops of color, alongside Dior oblique motifs emblazoned across retro t-shirts, polo shirts, shorts and bathrobes. A joyful assemblage of the vintage, sportswear, and casual universes.

The accessories are just as desirable. Dior’s Staple Atlas Sandals arrive in a new white version, while the Paradise Espadrilles are available in two colorways. Top of your look with the Saddle Clutch and Boat Bag adorned in oblique jacquard, and quench your thirst for hype with Dior’s steel bottle that can be worn crossbody with its luxurious leather a nylon strap. A true testament to Jone’s ability to transform the mundane into true objects of desire.
