Following the likes of Gucci and Bottega Veneta, Emporio Armani is the latest brand to join the coed runway movement. Today, during a press conference revealing the schedule for Men's Fashion Week in Milan, Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana president Carlo Capasa announced that the Milano label will skip its annual men's showing in June and will host a joint men's and women's show in September during Milan Fashion Week, when womenswear is usually shown. In addition, it was announced that the brand's September showing will not be taking place at the Armani theater on Via Bergognone, the traditional space for all things Armani. Instead, the collection will be presented in an as-yet undisclosed location.

As more and more brands are beginning to reveal their support in embracing a coed showing, the future of fashion is definitely on the forefront of the industry's mind. What does the world of high fashion actually look like with a majority of runways displaying both men's and women's styles in a cohesive fashion? We're buckled up and ready for the ride.
