It is important to find time for yourself, even during normal times. During a pandemic, the situation gets a whole lot worse, so it is advisable to actually find time for yourself. Stuck at home with nothing to do, a person can find themselves thinking about nothing and doing nothing to keep themselves active. Since a lot of people are unable to go to public places due to the lack of proper social distancing, they need to find ways to stay fit at home. Entrepreneur Erick Alvarez, CEO and Founder of Big Clout Media, shares 5 fitness tips to transform your physique amidst the pandemic.

Use Props from Home

“The most daunting thing about working out right now is fear over lack of equipment. You don’t have to worry. Use what is available at home. Use a chair or the edge of a table,” said Erick.

Find A Social Group

We are all in this together; but since we can’t meet each other and motivate each other in person, it is far better to do so online. Create a common group that can talk to each other on a regular basis. You can also plan your workouts together and arrange video calls so that you can keep an eye on each other as your workout.

Eat Healthy, Eat Wise

“Right now, there are so many trends going on for stay-at-home workers and bored people. One of those trends is the 80/20 rule. The trick is to eat healthy 80% of the time and indulge in freedom foods 20% of the time. Freedom food is your favorite food item, such as pizzas, burgers, and the likes.  This enables people to sustain the diet for an extended period and enjoy eating their food. This diet is meant to be long term, not a crash diet or fad.

Go Outside

Now, this is a dangerous idea, for obvious reasons. But you don’t have to go too far. Just take a stroll in your own building. Go to the roof. And if you have your own garden, walk there. If you can drive to the nearest park and still avoid people, then do that too. Get some fresh air.

Pick A Hobby

“Just exercising can get tiring. Especially since you have nothing else to do. So it is always nice to have a sport to play,” said Erick. It’s about finding other ways to keep your body active.
