Ermenegildo Zegna Launches an Exclusive Collab With Fear Of God

Identifying and following the masculine identity that can also be worn by women.

Monday, March 2nd marked the day when the new Fear of God Exclusively for Ermenegildo Zegna Collection was first presented in Paris. To dream up the exclusive range, Ermenegildo Zegna’s artistic director Alessandro Sartori has joined forces with Fear of God’s founder Jerry Lorenzo, creating a new grammar of style that identifies and follows a new path of masculine identity that is also wearable for women.

“I design menswear but I always keep a woman in mind; I really love the way women wear men’s clothing,” Jerry Lorenzo explained. “I have always been fascinated by Ermenegildo Zegna clothing and this collaboration provides my clients with the opportunity to experience tailoring stitched with freedom, which I think Zegna customers will also enjoy.”

This collaboration between the two brands that both represent and offer their own form of luxury has ultimately resulted in the frank and authentic conversation between two markedly distant worlds, defining an immediate and contemporary wardrobe built on aesthetic canons that are as free from pre-built models and gender paradigms as possible. Mixing and merging, reinventing silhouettes and proportions in a continuous cross-reference between Milan/Los Angeles and back, the two identities become one in the stylized Zegna logo, written using the font that distinguishes Fear of God.
