Everything About Tyler the Creator’s GOLF le FLEUR x Converse 1908 Pro Leather

The 1908 Pro Leather revives Converse’s first modern hoops shoe, made famous by Dr. J in 1976, and drops alongside two leather 1908 Joggers

Tyler the Creator continues his deep dive into the Converse archive with the latest chapter of the 1908 Series, arriving July 16. Headlining the release is the 1908 Pro Leather, a reimagined take on Converse’s iconic 1976 basketball sneaker, alongside two new leather colorways of the 1908 Jogger.

Named after the year Marquis Mills Converse founded the company, the 1908 line explores more than a century of Converse history through Tyler’s lens. After reviving overlooked silhouettes including deck shoes, joggers, and work boots, he now turns to one of the brand’s most recognizable designs.

First introduced in 1976, the Pro Leather marked Converse’s shift from canvas basketball shoes to a leather performance model. It debuted the now-iconic Star Chevron logo, became Julius “Dr. J.” Erving’s signature sneaker, and later found a lasting place in streetwear and music culture.

This time, Tyler’s reinterpretation draws from vintage b-boy style and the DIY sneaker customizations that existed long before collaborations became mainstream. The updated silhouette features a wider toe box, oversized eyelets, thick laces, and an embossed star across the rubber toe cap. Full-grain leather, aged finishes, and archival details are paired with subtle GOLF le FLEUR branding in debossed and gold-foil accents.

The Pro Leather comes in crisp White leather or Amazon green suede with cream overlays and lavender laces, channeling a distinct ’70s aesthetic. Completing the collection, the 1908 Jogger reimagines Converse’s 1970s Coach runner in premium white and black leather, retaining its foam midsole, sawtooth outsole, and subtle GOLF le FLEUR branding for a more understated look.

The collection is available now at Converse, GOLF le FLEUR*, and select retailers worldwide.
