Explore Canali’s 85-Year History

‘Canali Anthology’ takes viewers through the Italian brand’s 85-year history.

Italian menswear brand Canali explores its almost ninety-year history through a new multimedia experience coined Canali Anthology

The project is a collection of interviews and archival material that pay homage to some of the brand’s most iconic figures. CEO, and grandson of Canali’s founder, Stefano Canali said the project pays tribute to Canali’s past.

“We are pleased to launch Canali Anthology, a native mobile digital project that narrates the company’s history, spotlights the people with whom we work, and spreads the love for Made in Italy,” Stefano Canali said.

Canali’s roots date back to 1934 in Triuggio, Italy. The anthology takes viewers through the brand’s legacy dating back to the early part of 20th century, through World War II, the tumultuous 1950s, menswear renaissance in the 1970s and casual-wear revolution beginning the 1990s.

While the film is composed of narration, interviews and archival material — all formulated by Canali’s Brianza, Italy based company — personal anecdotes from the Canali family add to the intimacy of the brand’s legacy.

“Perhaps the best advice my father gave me was to never feel like I had ‘made it.’ I think that it is fundamental, especially for entrepreneurs,” Stefano Canali says in the film. “It is a principle that still guides all our choices today, motivating us to innovate and set new goals — without ever forgetting that true strength is rooted in kindness.”

A digital preview of Canali Anthology was presented during Milan Fashion week. The multimedia experience is now available on Canali’s website
