Explore the Seas With OMEGA’s Latest Seamaster Diver

The Seamaster Diver 300M Nekton Edition aims to further ocean knowledge and exploration.

OMEGA debuts the Seamaster Diver 300M Nekton Edition one year after diving into the Indian Ocean to further the protection and management of Earth’s oceans.

The OMEGA-Nekton partnership took hold to expand human knowledge of the world’s marine science. Nekton, a non-profit research foundation committed to the betterment of oceans, started a series of sea-diving expeditions last year with the help of OMEGA’s Seamaster Diver.

“Our friends at Nekton are protecting the ocean with the global goal of 30% protection by 2030,” OMEGA’s President and CEO Mr. Raynald Aeschlimann said. “As a pioneering brand with a long history of pushing at the boundaries of what is possible, we have the utmost respect for this bold, confident vision and we’re thrilled to help make the goal a reality.”

OMEGA has long had a relationship with the world’s oceans. Sailor and ocean conservationist Sir. Peter Blake was a friend of OMEGA who sailed the world on the famous 119-foot aluminum Seamaster. Nekton named their research submersible Seamaster 2 in ode to Blake’s legacy.

The Seamaster Diver 300M Nekton Editions arrives in two distinct models. The first leans casual-elegant as the model is integrated with a black rubber strap with a polished-brushed buckle. OMEGA’s second model presents a dressier feel and feel as it is available in a stainless steel bracelet.

Key features include a laser-ablated black ceramic dial with a matte finish. Both Nekton editions are also equipped with a unidirectional rotating bezel in grade 5 titanium with laser-ablated diving scale in positive relief. Turning the watch over, watch-wearers will notice an ode to OMEGA and Nektons oceans expeditions as the case back is embossed with a submarine medallion.
