Following the announcement of their seventh studio album So Much (for) Stardust on the 18th, multi-platinum selling rock band Fall Out Boy has new news: a cross-country multi-stadium tour starting in June. The news comes just days after founding guitarist Joe Trohman announced he’s “stepping away from Fall Out Boy for a spell” in a statement. 

Set to be released March 24th, So Much (for) Stardust is the band’s first album since  2018’s Mania, including singles “Love From The Other Side” and “Heartbreak Feels So Good” released earlier this month. Whereas Mania was more-so pop and electronic inspired, the singles we’ve heard from So Much (for) Stardust sets it up as a true homage to the Grammy-nominated groups rock beginnings. As bassist Pete Wentz shared to Hype Beast, the album will be “something new, but carved from our foundation”, and if the rest of the album is anything like the singles, Fall Out Boy fans everywhere will be nothing short of thrilled. 

The announcement comes nearly 20 years after the band’s 2003 debut album Take This To Your Grave, and will be their first album released under Fueled by Ramen since. In a statement to Rolling Stone lead singer Patrick Stump shared, “We wanted to get back to the way we used to work. We wanted to make a record that was really lovingly crafted and deliberate and patiently guided – like someone cooked you a delicate meal. I’m not a very proud guy, but I’m pretty proud of this record.”

Opening acts joining Fall Out Boy on the road include Bring Me the Horizon, Alkaline Trio, New Found Glory, the Academy Is…, Royal & the Serpent, Daisy Grenade, Carr, Games We Play, and Four Year Strong. Tickets are on sale now.
