Fendi Goes Full Force For Men’s Fall/Winter 2023 Collection

Keep it cozy through the day, but ready to party through the night

A collection that not only looks comfortable and bundled but makes you feel warm and relaxed to watch down the runway. The plush textures include Fendi sherpa monogram long vest overlays, visibly soft cashmere knits, aged-looking leather jackets, puffers, and ankle-length double-breasted coats. Silvia Venturini Fendi’s vision portrays a realistic compilation of day-to-night looks that work for the chilliness of fall to winter seasons and releases the restrictions of venturing into night to your favorite club—or multiple.

The primary and rather inspiring theme of a wrapped-up day-to-night ready-to-go look is displayed by club scene strobe lightning and 70s-motivated house music. Along with this, the unnoticeably twisting and turning tracks above the runway paving the way for Fendi logoed silver balls seemed unrelated but created double the movement; possibly replicating the intensity and distracting activities of being on the dance floor. Venturini Fendi relates to those young and eager morning-to-evening employees who seek to adventure into nightlife and liberate by the gleaming lights as she recalls her Studio 54 days.

Reoccurring motifs of ponchos and trimmed fringe give a slight taste of snug western Serape Mexican-inspired outerwear, translated through Fendi. Fringe trim is seen on blanketed components like the oversized trendy blanket scarves, the lavender turtleneck assembles, zippered ponchos, a wool coat hem, and actual cashmere blankets hanging off Fendi totes for a critical item on the go.

As follows my next point, a significant concept in this collection is swaddling, draping, and cushioning the kind of fall the collection anticipates for. The illusion comes into play with drawn-out scarves and a draped asymmetrical poncho and sweater that gives the pashmina/swathe effect.

Layering is a keynote in the collection as we come to learn that layering is an art form. Fendi shows us how to layer for the entirety of the day; like bringing in a pashmina-like sweater for the day but lavender leather party pants to take on the night with a black Fendi baguette belt bag for hands-free efficiency. Sheer sweaters stick around as they are the perfect duality of a fall cover-up but keep the sexiness around for the evening.

Asymmetry is present as it orchestrates the contrast of dressing down but remaining sophisticated with one-sided shoulder knits. Sexy business is elevated through a sleeveless asymmetrical collar dress shirt—where a nip slip is on the line—paired with multidirectional pinstripe black trousers and dress shoes.

The standout bag from the collection in a shearling true baguette shape “baguette” bag, is highly mentionable as it is meant to keep a literal baguette warm of course. A delightful addition that is on the line of novelty and utility.
