Ferrari Opens Its First U.S.-Based Lifestyle Boutique After Runway Debut

The luxury car brand’s newest retail store celebrates its Italian culture and expansion into fashion.

From lux sports cars to timeless watches, there is nothing Ferrari cannot do. After making a runway debut back in June of this year, the Italian car manufacturer is now exploring the world of fashion. Their first collection embodied the brand’s heritage, while also combining sportswear with outerwear. It also included striking colors of red and yellow, and adornations of the Ferrari logo. Now with the opening of their Los Angeles store, it is nothing short of opulence. Much like the collection itself, the store is aesthetically pleasing to the eye, innovative and filled with Italian spirit.

At approximately 777 square feet, the store is located on the iconic North Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. The Los Angeles opening follows Ferrari’s other store openings in Milan and Maranello, Italy—the location of its headquarters. Holding both its recent womenswear and menswear collection, the store fits the brand codes and visuals through the terracotta, glass and brick materials found throughout the space.

Each material symbolizes an important part of the brand’s history, such as the earthy brown color of the terracotta being reflections of the buildings found in Enzo Ferrari’s birthplace. The store also follows a neutral color palette, but has splashes of the widely recognized Ferrari red. Other design elements of the store include centerpieces that consist of the V8 Ferrari engine. Historic automobile artwork like this can be found in each Ferrari retail store, as well as leather accents and Alcantara wall panels.

Designed in collaboration between Iannone and Ferrari’s global creative and retail teams, the choice in location is due to Los Angeles’ rich popular culture. Ferrari gives credit to Hollywood and the music business for including the brand in its culture, such as incorporating its cars and name in famed TV programs, films and songs. Their next U.S. store location will be in what Ferrari considers another U.S. pop culture hub: Miami, Florida.

Ferrari’s expansion into fashion is a part of the brand’s diversification. They hope to continue to make the Prancing Horse logo a recognizable icon to all. Visit the LA-based store, and explore the collection here.
