Nearly 15 years after he made his modeling debut in VMAN, Simon Nessman is back, gracing the pages of VMAN 49 as he merges codes of the past with styles of the moment. In collaboration with two VMAN contributors, stylist Grant Woolhead and fashion photographer Blair Getz Mezibov, Full Sculpt is a nod to classical photography greats.

Fall 2022’s menswear looks take inspiration from the male form itself, with second-skin and fitted tailoring taking a front seat. Sheer items, as seen in Valentino’s latest collection, continue to highlight today’s modern vision of masculinity. Other takes on this trend include nipped waist pants, from Burberry’s pleated trousers to Gucci’s leather iteration.

Inspired by classic men’s outerwear silhouettes, today’s version of an overcoat includes a tied waist, as seen in Willy Chavarria’s offerings, and an oversized shoulder, as seen at Fendi and Prada. Sleek, rugged, and fluidly masculine, Nessman is the perfect representation of contemporary menswear styles.
