Getting Ready: Malcolm McRae Saddles Up for a Night With Tom Ford Beauty

The musician and actor gave V MAN an exclusive look at his routine before the launch

With the recent reveal of TOM FORD BEAUTY’s latest men’s fragrance, Ombré Leather Reserve, Malcolm McRae, lead singer of indie rock band more*, took VMAN behind the scenes as he prepared to perform at the fragrance’s New York launch on September 15.

McRae stepped into the world of Ombré Leather Reserve with a fitting dose of rock ’n’ roll and Western influence. Built around sultry notes of silver juniper, black leather, sandalwood, and pinyon wood, the fragrance set the tone for McRae’s look: a tailored leather jacket paired with his signature 1970s-inspired shag.

At the party, the musician was set to debut an unreleased track before performing The Rolling Stones’ “Wild Horses,” the song featured in the fragrance campaign. Follow along as McRae takes VMAN through his show-ready process.
