Getting Ready with Owen Thiele & Armani Beauty for the Venice Film Festival

VMAN talks to Owen Thiele as he gets ready with Armani Beauty for the Venice Film Festival, discussing his rise through the comedy world
Born in Houston and raised in Beverly Hills, Owen Thiele grew up surrounded by music. After briefly studying theater in Los Angeles and attending NYU, he left school to pursue acting, landing small web and television roles throughout the mid-2010s. His breakthrough came with 2023’s Theater Camp, followed by standout roles in FX’s Adults and Prime Video’s Overcompensating, establishing him as one of comedy’s most talked-about new faces.
At 29, he has also cultivated a distinct public persona through In Your Dreams, the candid, freewheeling podcast he often records at odd hours, transforming his self-described struggles with sleep into conversations about fame, ambition, and the intimate details of his life. Now, he is developing his most personal project yet: Off Color, a semi-autobiographical comedy about growing up as a Black gay man adopted into a white Jewish family, with longtime friend Ilana Glazer attached to produce and co-star.
