Golden Goose, an Italian luxury streetwear brand celebrated the release of their new ’Ball Star’ sneakers by taking over the iconic Pink Motel on San Fernando Road in Sun Valley California for an exclusive party. Golden Goose, an Italian brand born in Venice Italy, has found influence in California skater style and bridged their European luxury sensibility with relaxed California street style, inspiring the brand’s ‘From Venice to Venice’ events. 

Golden Goose was started in 2000 and lives by its tagline “Perfect Imperfection” advocating for hand finishing and artisanal craftsmanship. The event was inspired by its location, leaning into the vintage ’40s California Style of the Pink Motel. A vintage pink Cadillac was present to take photos with for a touch of old-fashioned glamor. The Cadillac Jack’s Café, the Pink Motel’s diner, was transformed into an interactive experience to promote the shoe. The leather sneakers are a reimagined version of the brand’s staple sneakers. 

The event was a mix of celebrity guests and noted members of the LA Skateboarding community for a unique blend of Hollywood meets downtown LA cool. The Pink Motel’s pool into a skating bowl where members of the U.S Nation skateboarding team showed off their skills for the crowd. Brooklyn Beckham, Ashley Park, and Matthew Noszak were in attendance. A walk-through exhibit displaying the brand’s history was also set up to immerse guests in Golden Goose’s vision for fashion.
