Russian-transplanted, Parisian-based Gosha Rubchinskiy is launching another collaboration today, following his stint with Burberry earlier this year: now, he's releasing a limited-edition capsule collection with Russian pop group Mumiy Troll.

With oversized sweatshirts, t-shirts, and a customized surfboard (complete with Mumiy Troll's Morskaya album artwork) can be found exclusively at Dover Street Market, always a champion for the most interesting and unusual partnerships to be found in fashion. Certainly, this is no exception; the self-proclaimed "Far Eastern, evergreen romantics" music group are celebrating the 20th anniversary of Morskaya—Russian for "nautical," a theme which fittingly pervades the capsule collection. The young Rubchinskiy, who came of age in the 1990's, recalls listening to their music through his teenage years: a time which often helps shape our sensibilities and identity.

To properly pay homage to the band he holds so dear, Rubchinskiy (who is also a photographer) travelled to their origin town of Vladivostok to shoot the locals and the Mumiy Troll frontman Ilya Lagutenko's children by a moody-looking sea.
