Grand Collection and New Balance Reunite with a Refined Skate Collection

Featuring models 770, 508, apparel, and a skate video scored to live piano

New York’s Grand Collection and New Balance are reuniting again. Embodying refined functionality, the clothing and sneaker capsule emphasizes skate utility, craftsmanship, and a sophisticated aesthetic.

In celebration, the two brands teamed up on a dynamic skate video. Skaters Brian Reid, Spencer Hamilton, and Brand Westgate cruise through the city in a gorgeously rendered video, replete with stunning shots of iconic New York imagery interspersed with footage of the collection in motion. The love letter to New York City is soundtracked by tastefully sparse piano, performed by Brooklyn-based jazz pianist Jonathan Paik.

The centerpiece of this collaboration is a reworked 770 and 508. Both sneakers come in black and deep forest with premium leather, brushed suede and nuanced debossed branding. As with previous Grand Collection x New Balance sneakers, both options are reinforced for increased stability, impact, and durability.

The apparel in the collection includes: a taslan nylon, fleece lined jacket, featuring Grand’s signature piping, embroidered branding, an adjustable cord at hem and on-seam hand pockets with YKK zippers; a heavyweight colorblocked sweatshirt made of 520gsm 100% cotton, featuring a two-way front zipper closure, on-seam zipper pockets, embroidered branding and corresponding bottoms; a soft, cross-weave, 100% cotton oxford shirt; and co-branded cotton tee shirts.

Grand Collection and New Balance celebrated the dinner in New York City with a dinner party, as stylists, skaters, models, and artists enjoyed live piano accompaniment and good food with good people.
