There's nothing quite like taking a load off with a weekend spent in the South of France. Bright blue skies, white sand beaches, and super-tanned sunbathers abound. The latest tourist attraction to hit the region has nothing to do with its effortlessly chic atmosphere: A few gangly young men sporting Gucci have stolen the show.

Creative director Alessandro Michele tapped into the juxtaposition for the brand's cruise 2019 men's lookbook. Its 78 photos feature models flaunting layers upon layers of clashing prints and outerwear as they make their way about town, participating in characteristically summery activities though clearly not dressed for the weather (have you ever seen a man in leather pants stretched across a lawn chair on a sunny day?). Cameos are made by a selection of unabashedly confident, beachwear-clad passersby.

Check out our favorite photos from the lookbook below, complete with dog-walkers, skateboarders, and a giant ice cream statue.
