As the countdown continues for the men's fashion calendar shows to begin, it seems each day there is another announcement of brand switching things up. Today it was announced that Haider Ackermann will not be showing a men's collection at Paris Men's Fashion Week and has instead, opted to debut a coed runway at Paris Women's Fashion Week this September for the SS19 season. The former Berluti creative director's PR director comments, "This decision reflects a desire to stage a new balance between the two collections by breaking with codes and re-creating magic with the interaction of two different identities."

Yesterday, Emporio Armani and Furla joined the coed movement joining the ranks of Gucci, Balenciaga, and Givenchy who have transitioned to coed showings during both Milan and Paris women's fashion weeks. The future of fashion is moving in a direction that feels more progressive than ever, with designers directly incorporating inclusivity practices and embracing visibility across the board. And because of this, Haider Ackermann joining the coed movement makes only the most sense.
