Helmut Lang Unveils its Resort 2022 Collection

Monochromatic and minimalistic, yet captivating.

Minimalist luxury fashion house, Helmut Lang, has released its Resort 2022 collection.  Keeping with the brand’s simple and clean aesthetic, this collection is an ode to what has made Helmut Lang the powerhouse it is, while still being bold and innovative. Monochromatic looks can be seen throughout the collection – mainly toned down, neutral hues with pops of color here and there. But what makes the pieces in this collection truly stand out is the use of texture.

You name it, this collection has it: zippers, cargo pants and cargo-like pockets on button-up shirts, quilted bomber jackets, knitted and cashmere sweaters, paired with glossy boots. Even a tactical chest rig vest.

By playing with the details so masterfully, they become the center of the story.

The continual Helmut Lang branding can be seen on the cashmere sweater. The slouchy, comfortable style of this collection is highlighted through the oversized teddy quarter-zip sweater and loose-fitting pants.

The branding is again seen on mock neck layered under a silk green slip dress. The contrasting materials only further highlight this collection’s emphasis on emphasis on texture and feel.

Just last week, the fashion house released a limited capsule with American conceptual artist, Hank Willis Thomas. Inspired by Thomas’s recent work in examining privilege and biases through art, 15% of proceeds from every purchase from the collection will be donated to Incarceration Nations Networks.
