Created by Olivier Creed, the Sixth Generation Master Perfumer for The House of Creed, Viking is “…inspired by the incredibly crafted longships, a centerpiece of Viking Age and one of the greatest design feats of the ninth century… [The ships are] a symbol of voyage and undeniable perseverance. Longships were carefully designed for the skilled seaman who embodied unbridles determination to conquer.” We can take Olivier Creed’s inspiration as a metaphor considering Creed’s loyalists have been eagerly awaiting its newest men’s fragrance since the 2010 launch of Aventus.

7 years in development, the unique character of Viking takes many forms. The scent hits you with an assertive presence of bold Peppercorn, Indian sandalwood and Haitian vetiver enveloped in a salty essence. As the fragrance settles, the refreshing notes of lemon and peppermint rise and hover over the spice. After a few hours, the notes start to smolder and become softer with hints of lavender and patchouli. Packaged in a bright red bottle with silver details, it was designed in partnership with Pochet de Courval, a long time collaborator of the house.

Viking will debuts exclusively at Creed boutiques and will be available in Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman in October 2017.
