Highsnobiety Unveils Capsule Collection For Off-White™ Scholarship Fund

The collection, designed by Abloh himself, benefits young, promising Black leaders in the fashion industry while preserving the late designer’s legacy

Global media brand Highsnobiety has released a capsule collection honoring the Off-White™ c/o Fashion Scholarship Fund, complete with three garments whose sales will benefit the Virgil Abloh™ “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund.

“It is a privilege to continue Virgil’s legacy by identifying promising Black undergraduates and supporting their aspirations of succeeding in the fashion industry,” said Peter Arnold, Executive Director of the Fashion Scholarship Fund. “Virgil made an immeasurable impact on the lives of his inaugural class of “Post-Modern” Scholars.”

Pieces include a varsity jacket, hoodie, and t-shirt designed by Abloh himself in 2021 in collaboration with the Off-White™ Studio. The capsule’s campaign is modeled by members of the last year’s inaugural class of scholars.

Abloh first announced the Virgil Abloh™ “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund in July 2020, created with the intent of promoting equity and inclusion in the fashion industry. Scholarships are awarded to students of Black, African-American, or African descent who show promise of leading the next generation of Black designers. The name “Post-Modern” derives from the objective of providing career support and mentoring to these students to carry them into their post-graduate careers. So farm over forty scholars have received awards.

“Virgil’s cultural legacy is one of those things that’s so big we can’t quite fathom the dimension of it from where we’re standing currently in history,” says Highsnobiety Editor-in-Chief Thom Bettridge, who worked closely with Abloh throughout his career. “So being able to contribute to that legacy in this way is an enormous honor for us as a publication, as fans of his, and as chroniclers of his work.”

Launching April 13, The Off-White™ X Fashion Scholarship Fund capsule will be available exclusively at Highsnobiety Shop. Additional contributions to the Fund can be made here.
