House of Humanrace Presented by Pharrell Williams for SSENSE Makes Debut in Montreal

SSENSE MONTRÉAL brings Pharrell’s House of Humanrace to life.

Humanrace, Pharrell’s skincare company all about wellbeing, teamed up with SSENSE in Montreal to honor the importance of community, wellbeing, sustainability, and product design through a program of multidimensional experiences. House of Humanrace Presented by Pharrell Williams for SSENSE invites guests to explore these concepts on a deeper level.

When entering the SSENSE storefront in Montreal, guests are introduced to three different pillars of Humanrace, which begins at an interactive introduction at entry. Going further, the expression of production and product design is commemorated with a commissioned sculpture, conceptualized and collaborated on by Humanrace Creative Director Edward Robinson,, and the artist-photography duo Scheltens & Abbenes.

As the exhibit develops, guests eventually gain access to view some of Pharrell’s personal collection of sneakers, clothing and jewelry specially curated by Tyler the Creator. Products on display in the Humanrace world will also be able to be purchased throughout the store.

“Working with SSENSE on the House of Humanrace brings together what my vision of new luxury is by providing products and experiences to help you care for yourself.,” said Pharrell WIlliams. “You should leave the store feeling better than how you came into it.”

In honor of this collaboration, a range of all-gender Humanrace products will be made available for purchase in store including a variety of Humanrace skin care products, adidas x Humanrace by Pharrell Williams Premium Basics, SSENSE WORKS with Humanrace apparel and finally the Humanrace Sičhona sneaker, which is Pharrell’s latest venture with adidas that stems from Pharrell’s long-standing friendship with members of the Dakota tribe. Sičhona, the shoe’s namesake, comes from the Indigenous phrase for “connecting to the earth” – the Dakota way of saying “Barefoot.”

House of Humanrace Presented by Pharrell Williams for SSENSE will be on display at SSENSE Montréal from September 24 to 30. For patrons who’re unable to make it to the in-person exhibit, those interested can still explore the immersive experience at everythingelse.ssense.com/humanrace.
