Isabel Marant FW 2021 Menswear Collection is All things Vintage

Retro sportswear meets quarantine comfort.

Isabel Marant takes a page out of early 90s sportswear for her latest FW 2021 Menswear Collection. The French fashion designer dropped the video campaign featuring the newest line set to the 70s tune, “Fire” by Lizzy Mercier Descloux, quite fitting for a collection full of fire looks.

Isabel Marant centers all pieces around blue, green and red. The primary-color-focused collection is ’90s grunge-inspired, a fashion era we’ve seen trending a lot this fashion week. From fleece quarter zips to large checkered print, the line is a page out of a retro sportswear catalogue. Bucket hats and light wash denim also make a starring appearance. The line is a nod to the comfy work-from-home fashion we’ve all been sporting lately. In an unprecedented time of housebound lockdowns, comfort has become key and Isabel Marant kept this in mind when creating this line full of closet staples.

We’ve seen many designers jump onto the sustainability trends and this looks to also be the case for this FW collection. The fleece-lined denim jackets and Dad-plaid button ups look like hot finds from an East Village thrift store with an elevated flair.
