Issey Miyake’s sustained technique with regards to creating his unique designs is predicated upon autonomy, namely, the freedom to run with ideas and execute through tenacity and vision.  The designer's Spring 2019 collection was another manifestation of his guiding principles, and we could not have loved it any more even if we tried.

The collection, according to the show notes, was ultimately “inspired by the desire for light and of ‘lightness’”–a theme evidenced by cool textures and tones such as oversized grey track pants, Bermuda shorts, grey boiler suits, loosely-fitted trousers, and tie-dyed printed tops and bottoms in hues of black, green, and grey. The fusion between the designer's own Japanese heritage and Parisian sophistication is seamless, and makes for an inspiring assemblage of clothing.

Proving to be stylish, and, more importantly, wearable, the collection in its entirety certainly blurs "the boundaries between work, leisure, [and] privacy." A designer continually on the rise, Miyake is most definitely worthy of all of the hype.
