“In My Bones” is Jacob Collier’s first release since winning two more Grammys this year, and his funky new single proves the Recording Academy right. With “In My Bones” being the second single off of Collier’s forthcoming LP Djesse Vol. 3, the London-based singer, arranger, composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist continues to warp the confines of genre with work that spans across jazz, R&B, soul, and alternative rock. “In My Bones” is a prime example of that notion, featuring singer-songwriter Kimbra and the funk/soul/hip-hop group Tank and the Bangas’ Tarriona “Tank” Ball.

The music video for “In My Bones” is a guaranteed spirit-lifter, with Collier and Kimbra in electric yellow suits dancing alongside a rapping robot and skeletons who also have their own choreography. Tank and the Bangas’ founder and frontwoman Tank gets a cameo through a fuzzy screen on the robot as she glimmers with a miscellany of vibrant hair clips surrounding her face.
