Jaden Smith is Opening a Restaurant Where Homeless People Are able to Eat for Free

The 22-year-old will have a restaurant meant to help others

Variety has learned that 22-year-old musician and actor Jaden Smith will be opening a restaurant that will give free meals to homeless people.

It will be named after Smith’s “I Love You” food truck operation that was launched almost two years ago on his 21 birthday. The philanthropist’s goal with the restaurant is to provide healthy and vegan food for free in Los Angeles’ Skid Row area. In the wake of the pandemic, Smith sent care packages including food, masks, clothes, and hand sanitizer.

At the restaurant, he also wants those who can afford to pay for their meals to spend a bit more for those in need. Recently, Smith launched his latest project “The Water Box” and has been able to provide the equivalent of at least 300,000 bottles of water.

More details will be released about the opening of the philanthropic restaurant, but the “I Love You” restaurant’s website is currently up and running.
