The Jonas Brothers came home to New Jersey Sunday night to launch their JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown tour, turning MetLife Stadium into a two-decade victory lap. “My name is Nick Jonas and Wyckoff, New Jersey, is my hometown!” Nick declared at the beginning of the show. “Even though I took my talents to Miami, New Jersey is my hometown!” Joe chimed in, and Kevin sealed the sentiment: “New Jersey is still my hometown!” Just half an hour from where they grew up, the trio launched into a career-spanning celebration that traced their 20-year journey from performing in malls to Disney Channel stardom, solo ventures, family milestones, and now selling out their hometown’s MetLife Stadium.

The brothers wasted no time stacking the setlist with fan favorites—“Lovebug,” “S.O.S.,” “Year 3000,” “Burnin’ Up”—alongside new tracks from their just-released album Greetings From Your Hometown. But the night’s biggest screams came when the band paid homage to the project that catapulted them into pop culture: Camp Rock.

After a heartfelt reflection on the role Disney played in their careers, a 2008 Camp Rock montage lit up the screens, and Joe teased, “I think it’s time we celebrate a little movie called Camp Rock.” “We wouldn’t be here without it, and we certainly wouldn’t be here without Joe landing his role in Camp Rock,” Nick added. Then came the surprise: “Ladies and gentlemen,” Joe announced, “Demi Lovato.” Enter Demi Lovato (followed by the night’s loudest screams from ecstatic fans) reuniting with Joe to perform Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2 classics “This Is Me” and “Wouldn’t Change a Thing.”

The nostalgia didn’t stop there. Early 2000s heartthrob Jesse McCartney—one of the first artists the Jonas Brothers ever opened for—joined them for “Beautiful Soul,” a nod to their early touring days. Rock band Switchfoot appeared for “Meant to Live,” the song that inspired the brothers to write their first song together. Marshmello took over during intermission for a high-energy set that felt like a fever dream (in the best way), and Dean Lewis joined for a performance of “Loved You Better.” As always, they highlighted their familial bond, inviting their parents and younger brother Frankie to the stage for their closing number, “When You Look Me In the Eyes,” which they co-wrote with their father, Kevin Sr., and released in 2007.
