Kappa® Joins Forces With U.S. Ski & Snowboard Teams To Attire Athletes
Kappa® has come together with the U.S. Ski & Snowboard teams to outfit athletes as part of a multi-year sponsorship for the 2023 and 2026 Winter Olympics.
The upcoming Winter Olympic Games will see another partnership for Team USA. Leading Italian-based lifestyle brand Kappa® which has collaborated with KORAL, Juicy Couture, and artists like Latin music superstar Karol G, announced their alliance with the United States Ski, Freeski, and Snowboard teams. They will outfit all athletes as part of these troupes for 2026 and 2030. This collaboration marks the first time a single outerwear and race suit provider has attired all U.S. teams.
“We are incredibly excited to partner with such an iconic brand that will enhance our team’s performance and style,” expressed U.S. Ski & Snowboard President and CEO Sophie Goldschmidt in a press statement. “The opportunity to have a single outerwear and race suit provider for all teams will allow us to streamline every aspect of this partnership to reach its fullest potential. In addition, Kappa®’s Research and Development will provide U.S. athletes with significant technical advantages as they focus on next season, the 2026 Olympic Winter Games and beyond.”
As part of the multi-year sponsorship, Kappa® will collaborate with U.S. Ski & Snowboard athletes and coaches on research and developmental aspects of athletic performance wear. For instance, its alpine speed suits will feature wind-tunnel testing and proprietary custom-tailored suit creation. The partnership also entails athlete activation and ambassador programs, broadcast, social media and digital promotions rights, custom competition content creation and email marketing campaigns with these teams’ fanbase. Kappa® signature branding will have inclusion on all athlete uniforms and team gear, and become available to purchase through U.S. Ski & Snowboard and Kappa official branding merchandise.
“We’re truly honored to start this long-term partnership with the U.S. Ski & Snowboard,” shared Lorenzo Boglione, VP of Sales at BasicNet S.p.A. “For Kappa®, this is a great opportunity as well as a wonderful comeback to sponsor an American national team, as we did from 1982 to 1988 with [the] USA Track and Field. We are very proud to dress these incredible athletes. Being together in the Milano-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics here in Italy will be amazing.”
