Mix polychrome, contemporary and borderless fashion together, and you have KENZO. Since being founded in 1970 by Kenzo Takada, the brand has used nature and cultural diversity as an inspiration for its designs. Their 2021 winter collection continues this tradition by centering its pieces on wildlife, especially the polar bear. Based on the archival polar bear print from the ‘90s, KENZO’s winter capsule presents a fun play on the original design, and a collection that is full of monochrome colors and life.

KENZO first presented the polar bear image back when Takada was designing the brand. After his passing, searching for Takada's spin on the image is rare to find, which makes this collection's playful spin on the OG motif extra special. Just as it was used back then, the polar bear not only symbolizes the brand's appreciation for nature, but also for Takada's originality and boldness.

Although the polar bear print is the centerpiece of the brand’s collectiondecorated on baseball caps, boxy sweaters and relaxed teesthe iconic KENZO tiger emblem also makes an appearance. Seen on sweaters and sweatshirts, the tiger is ornately embroidered onto the center as a way to “honor end-of-year celebrations’’. Other unique pieces from the collection, where both the tiger and polar bear logos are featured, include mohair jackets, fitted hoodies, knit beanies and cross body bags. This wide selection of mens- and womenswear make it the perfect collection for timeless winter staples that are full of bright, sparkling details you will never grow tired of.
