KENZO’s Fall/Winter 2020 Collection

The newest collection from KENZO emphasizes a nomadic spirit.

Kenzo Takada’s story is interwoven in KENZO’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection, pulling inspiration from the Japanese creative’s journey to Paris with the language of fashion guiding him. Felipe Oliveira Baptista fused together his own traveling spirit with Takada’s, resulting in pieces that explore the personalities and journeys of both designers.

The collection sees pieces that are mobile, urban, and can transform with fluency. Coats from the line are thus reversible and range from monochrome to printed. Parkas undergo metamorphism with arms that have the ability to spread out like wings, while down jackets can double as sleeping bags. Colors featured in the collection come from nature, with an organic palette aiming to compose a unique painting at each glance.
