Kid Cudi Stars In Luca Guadagnino’s HBO Debut

Check out the newly-released trailer for the series titled We Are Who We Are.

Oscar-winning filmmaker Luca Guadagnino is making his very first television debut over an HBO with We Are Who We Are — an eight-episode coming-of-age series. The project features a star-studded cast — there will be Kid Cudi and Chloë Sevigny, for starters.

The show will be set in an American military base in Veneto, Italy and follow a story of the 14-year-old Fraser Wilson (played by Jack Dylan Grazer), who finds himself moving from New York to the military base with his two mothers Sarah (Sevigny) and Maggie (Alice Braga), both serving the U.S. Army. There, he develops a close friendship with Caitlin Harper (Jordan Kristine Seamon), who has already been at the base for a few years because of her brother and father (Cudi). Harper also identifies as transgender and undertakes steps to transition from female to male, while looking up to Sarah.

HBO has just released the first trailer for the highly-anticipated show. While you’re waiting for the project to be officially released on September 14, check out the aforementioned clip below:
