Lavazza Sells Art by David LaChapelle, Patti Smith, Kiera Chaplin and More for Charity

13 photographers and 6 cultural “ambassadors” come together to create art for “The New Humanity.”

Italian Coffee magnate Lavazza is bringing together artists to explore the boundaries of humanity. With their new project, “The New Humanity 2021,” the brand is creating art for charity.

The project focuses on the rebirth of humans and humanity through the turbulent times we are passing through. The project explores these themes through several means, including photography, writing, music, art, poetry, design, etc.

The two main outputs of the project are “The New Humanity 2021 Calendar” and “The New Humanity 2021 Magazine.” The calendar features photography and art by 13 high profile photographers, including David LaChapelle, Steve McCurry, Carolyn Drake, and Christy Lee Rogers. The magazine features work by six people from diverse backgrounds, branded as “cultural” ambassadors, among which are actress Kiera Chaplin, singer-songwriter Patti Smith, and designer Stella Jean.

A thousand copies of the calendar, along with special photographs and objects, will be auctioned off. The proceeds from the auction will go to Save The Children. The auction will run from November 12 to November 26, 2020.
