Leon Bridges and John Mayer have released a new single, “Inside Friend”, a timely homage to the current state of the world. Filled with smooth melodies and sensual guitar solos, the three minute track is nothing short of intoxicating. 

The soul artist and singer-songwriter actually recorded the song back in 2019, with Bridges saying, “The concept for ‘Inside Friend’ came about from Mayer and I joking around in the studio about what an ideal date for an introvert or homebody like myself would be.” 

“Inside Friend” is Bridges’ second release in 2020, while Mayer’s taken a brief break from releasing new material, his last solo release was his 2019 single “Carry Me Away.”
