Lil Nas X Drops ‘Uncensored’ Version of ‘Industry Baby’ Video
Warning: may be more censored than the original.
Lil Nas X released the music video for his latest single, “Industry Baby,” just last week. The video, which has already racked up over 45 million views, depicts the rapper three months into his time as a prisoner at the fictional Montero State Prison. Sporting a hot pink prison uniform, the rapper is shown polishing his Grammy’s in his cell, getting twerked on by fellow inmates, and dancing with a troupe of men in a steamy nude shower scene.
Well, not fully nude, of course. Lil Nas X and the dancers are partially covered by pixelated squares.
In the new “uncensored” version, however, the rapper bares it all. Watch it for yourself here:
Did your computer freeze, too?
Anybody who follows Lil Nas X on Twitter, or has seen his various performances and interviews, knows that just about everything he does is infused with his top tier sense of humor. He handles disparaging remarks and the endless homophobia hurled at him with grace and comedy, and continues to release hit after hit (and win award after award).
It’s no surprise, then, that he would trick fans with a new version of the already-sexy “Industry Baby” video.
Starting off the same as the original video, the “uncensored” version pans to the flowing shower-head right before the supposedly full-frontal scene. But the video just… stops. Maybe something is wrong with your internet? Or the video was uploaded wrong? Nope. He just modern-day “Rick-Rolled” you.
The loading screen continues for three minutes, cutting out Jack Harlow’s feature — but making it seem like the video actually should have kept going, with the song continuing to play in the background. And viewers were definitely caught off guard.
The rapper retweeted this from a fan:

With over 4 million views already, it seems his joke was a success. And the YouTube comments are priceless. “Fun Fact: Uncensored Version Is More Censored Than The censored Version,” said one commenter.
