Fans and followers alike reeled at the news of Lil Peep's death when his suspected overdose was announced earlier this month. The budding emo-rap artist, whose real name is Gustav Åhr passed away in Tuscon, Arizona at age 21 on November 15th, three months following the release of his first studio EP, Come Over When You're Sober Pt. 1.

Yesterday, Lil Peep's family announced via the late artist's social media accounts that they will be holding an open memorial service this Saturday for fans to celebrate his colorful life and legacy. The event will be held at the Allergia Hotel in Long Beach, New York, the rapper's hometown that he often referenced in his music.

Lil Peep's family has requested that fans donate to Oxfam, an international charity organization dedicated to combatting global poverty, in lieu of bringing flowers to the event.
