Viral dances have been essential to music culture throughout time. From “The Hustle” disco-era to the “Y.M.C.A.”, 2000s-era Dougie and “Gangnam Style”, we’ve tried relentlessly to conquer them all. Hip-hop dances like the “In My Feelings” Challenge and The Whoa have gained massive popularity over the past year, and rapper Lil Uzi Vert may have just created the next viral craze.
Uzi took to Twitter recently to tease fans about a new single titled “FUTSAL” on his upcoming album Eternal Atake. The single was created to have an accompanying dance to go along with it called “The Futsal Shuffle”.

“The Single that I’m going with From Eternal Atake is a Dance Record called FUTSAL,” he wrote in a tweet. He teased further saying “The FUTSAL Shuffle will take over 2020”. The rapper soon after released a video of himself doing the soccer-inspired dance so fans could “practice”. The video, now posted around 3 days ago, has garnered tons of attention from fans uploading videos of themselves doing their own versions of the dance. “I appreciate everybody that’s on this #FutsalShuffle2020 wave make me feel good again” he wrote on Twitter. While Uzi has yet to announce a release date for the new album, the FUTSAL Shuffle will hold us over until then.
