Lil Uzi Vert Is On A Roll
The Philly rapper drops a second part after last week’s album release.
Lil Uzi Vert fans can now repose and enjoy. The long wait is over—the Philly rapper has dropped not one but two new albums. Last week after years of coping with legal and personal issues, Lil Uzi Vert came out of the dark to drop the long-anticipated album, ‘Eternal Atake.’ The 18-track album ranked number one according to Rolling Stone, with over 7,000 album sales in one week. A day after the release, Uzi went on to Twitter to announce even greater news—an extra 14 tracks available on March 13.
Self-described as a second-part to the 2016 album, ‘Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World 2’ features Future, Young Thug, Gunna, 21 Savage, Chief Keef, Young Nudy, Lil Durk, and NAV. The past two weeks have been packed with gifts and surprises for Uzi fans. Since March 1st, he began by sharing the single, “That Way,” which references Backstreet Boys hit “I Want It That Way.” He followed with three potential album covers and asked fans to vote for their favorite. That same day he dropped a short film he co-directed in which he is abducted by a cult in a UFO. After the build up and anticipation he dropped ‘Eternal Atake,’ followed by ‘Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World 2.’
It was a long road, but fans and critics can agree that it was well worth the wait. Watch the short film below.
