It's been two years since the world has heard new music from English soul prince Sam Smith. Luckily, the singer has been working hard in the studio and made his triumphant return to pop last week on when he released "Too Good At Goodbyes," the first single from his highly anticipated sophomore record.

The new song from Smith finds him evaluating a relationship that is too painful to carry on, emotively pouring his crystalline voice into mournful lyrics. The track relays like grand ballad following a wistful piano, heart-beating bass, and gospel-like chorus as Smith sings about the dissolution of a love to protect himself, pleading: "Baby we don't stand a chance, it's sad but it's true / I'm way too good at goodbyes."

Following the song's release, Smith has been humbled by fan reactions and has been celebrating his new music with a limited set of intimate tour dates this week.
