Lollapalooza Apparently to Return This Summer

The annual four-day music festival is coming back to Chicago this year

According to a report from Variety, The Lollapalooza Festival is returning to Chicago this year with a four-day event in its normal time and place, July 29 through August 1 at Grant Park.

The city of Chicago is allowing near-to or full-capacity and headliners are expected to be announced next week. The city is also expected to reopen with no restrictions by July 4.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced last month that Chicago is allowing more people per square feet. The city is also having its first street festival on July 8 through July 11 called Windy City Smokeout, where being fully vaccinated is required.

Lollapalooza will not be the first major music festival to take place in the U.S. with Rolling Loud rescheduled in Miami for July 23 through July 25 as well as the Governors Ball Festival being held in September.
