In anticipation of their Spring/Summer 2022 collection designed by Virgil Abloh, Louis Vuitton unveils a new Nike Air Force 1 created in collaboration with the late fashion icon. In alliance with Sotheby’s, the world’s premiere destination for art and luxury, 200 limited-edition pairs of the shoe will be up for bidding from January 26 through February 8 with a starting bid of $2,000.

Complete with Louis Vuitton pilot cases exclusive to the auction and made of Monogram Taurillon Leather, the shoe features the signature LV logo and color with the familiarity of the Air Force 1. Luxury and streetwear combine as precious calf leather envelopes the shoe alongside a natural cowhide piping.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit The Virgil Abloh “Post-Modern” Scholarship Fund which, in partnership with the Fashion Scholarship Fund, helps finance the education of academically promising students of Black, African American, or African descent. The late Louis Vuitton Men’s Artistic Director was involved in the early organization of the auction, which will take place in association with his family.
