Louis Vuitton Introduces Wireless, Light Up Speaker

The portable Louis Vuitton Horizon Light Up speaker makes traveling so much more elegant

Louis Vuitton adds the Horizon Light Up speaker to their already impressive list of high-end audio products with a beautifully crafted portable speaker. Representing Louis Vuitton’s skills by turning an everyday product into a work of art, the speaker takes on a unique form in the audio market with inspiration from the Toupie handbag, designed by artistic director of women’s collections Nicolas Ghesquière.

The Horizon Light Up can stand alone without being used as a piece of art displaying Louis Vuitton’s 167-year history of working with leather and metal. But when turned on, there is an explosion of sound, light and movement. The lights that encircle the speaker synchronize to the beat of any song and a top ring of lights spell out “L-O-U-I-S V-U-I-T-T-ON.”

The unconventional shape offers acoustic benefits. For example, when the speaker is in its dock the sound is played at 360 degrees and if the speaker is placed on its side, the music will be sent in a specific direction. The portable speaker has wireless connectivity through Bluetooth®, it can also be connected with Apple Airplay® 2, and Qplay via Wi-Fi. When charged the speaker can play music for up to 12 hours.

In a photoshoot with photographer Ulysse Frechelin, Louis Vuitton displays that the portable speaker can be used anywhere from the beach to indoors to strapping it onto one’s wrist to wear it as an accessory.
