Louis Vuitton has just announced a new partnership with Real Madrid, launching exclusive Formal Wear and Formal Travel Wear Collections for the club’s men’s and women’s football and basketball teams. We have seen Louis Vuitton partner with the Paris 2024 Olympic and the Formula 1® World Championship, crafting boxes and trunks for the winners, but not to this extent.

Founded in 1902, Real Madrid has been a pinnacle of European sports, becoming the most decorated club in football history. This new collaboration sees Louis Vuitton become part of that legacy, outfitting players and representatives during events and international travel.

Designed and spearheaded by Creative Director Pharrell Williams, the collection includes ready-to-wear garments, footwear, and accessories. “Real Madrid stands for excellence and evolution—that energy fuels what we do at Louis Vuitton. This wardrobe was made to move with that same spirit,” said Williams. Although there is an overall simplicity to the looks, details like the leather label over the lapel emphasize LV’s true craftsmanship. Alongside the formal wear is some highly tailored “off court” looks, featuring workwear inspired silhouettes and the same type of minimal branding.

Complementing the wardrobe is a bespoke luggage line, including the Horizon 55, Keepall, and Christopher backpack. Each item features the iconic monogram canvas adorned with white and gold stripes representing Real Madrid’s colors. The pieces also include an exclusive leather charm in club colors, available only to team members.

Pietro Beccari, CEO of Louis Vuitton, praised the partnership as a meeting of shared values and ongoing innovation, stating, “Louis Vuitton and Real Madrid share foundational values that have propelled them to the highest peaks of their respective disciplines.” Although it’s a first for the brand, the partnership works because, at its core, both brands strive for excellence.
