Machine Gun Kelley To Launch Unisex Nail Polish Line

The UN/DN polish line aims to “embody a cultural shift that has been a long time coming.”

Rapper Machine Gun Kelley is set to launch a unisex nail polish line called UN/DN in partnership with Unlisted Brand Lab. It’s no surprise that the 30-year-old rapper would choose to enter the beauty market; he’s been playing around with nail art for a while, sometimes even bringing his creative nail designs to the red carpet. The announcement accompanies a general societal shift: we’re finally starting to acknowledge that nail polish is always a great look, regardless of gender. Candy Harris, founder and CEO of Unlisted Brand Lab, said the following in a press release obtained by Page Six: “We’re honored to be working with MGK on this rare opportunity to build a brand that will progress a category to embody a cultural shift that has been a long time coming.” Of course, anyone can use any nail polish, but the development of an explicitly unisex brand has the potential to change how we perceive beauty at a more fundamental level.

We don’t yet know the colors and names of the UN/DN nail polishes, but based on Machine Gun Kelley’s nail designs of the past, we might expect to see some bright neon shades and other eye-catching options that work well for more intricate designs. The UN/DN line is set for a fall launch, so you’ve got some time to brainstorm your best at-home manicure ideas.
