“This album is very special, it represents my essence, what I grew up with, the music I enjoy with my friends and my personal taste in reggaeton music. That’s why I collab with artists that have inspired me,” Maluma said of PAPI JUANCHO. “It’s made with lots of love to make my fans happy and also to make myself happy. I want people to really enjoy and have a great time with this music, that’s the essence of Papi Juancho.”

With 22 tracks that were created throughout Maluma’s quarantine in Miami and Medellin, Colombia, PAPI JUANCHO was produced and written alongside the Rude Boyz (Kevin ADG and Chan “El Genio”), who’ve worked with Maluma since his first album. Other writing credits for the album include Miky La Sensa, Vicente Barco, and Juan Camilo Vargas among others, and the list of features sees Maluma collaborating with both old and new school Reggaetón artists: Darell, Jory Boy, Justin Quiles, Lenny Tavarez, Myke Towers, Ñejo & Dalmata, Ñengo Flow, Randy, Yandel, and Yomo y Zion.
