Masego Drops New Song “Silver Tongue Devil” ft. Shenseea

The song will be featured in his upcoming “traphousejazz” EP

Singer, songwriter, and traphousejazz artist, Masego released a new song: “Silver Tongue Devil”. The song will be a part of his upcoming concept EP. Also featured in the song is Jamaican dancehall artist Shenseea.

The upcoming EP will focus on Masego’s tropical journey through every aspect of a relationship, from beginning to end, showing off a new and reflective side of the artist. It’s a reflective EP that the artist will use to “look inward and explore what he finds, both topically and sonically”.

Details regarding the name and release of the project are still up in the air, but it promises to be an “ambitious, enjoyable effort to date and his most refreshing interpretation of traphousejazz yet”. According to a press release there will also be more “collaborative partners”.

“Silver Tongue Devil” was produced by Grammy Award winning producer and songwriter, IzyBeats. It sees a reflective and vulnerable side of the artist as he invites fans and newcomers alike into his mythical mind.

Using his characteristic saxophone beats and smooth elements of Jamaican dancehall, he poses the question: “what to do with such a silver tongued devil, who may or may not be a former flame?”

In anticipation of the release of “Silver Tongue Devil”, Masego uploaded a picture of himself posing with Shenseea on Instagram. He dubbed the iconic duo, “ShenSego”.

Also adding to the mix is an upcoming lyric video, which will be released on October 14th. It will feature footage shot in Mexico by Lougè Delcy.

For now, you can watch a visualizer for “Silver Tongue Devil” where the duo can be seen living it up on a colorful landscape.
