How was the experience of working with Collier Schorr for the Saint Laurent ad?

I really like her. I feel pretty natural shooting with her and any input she has usually makes sense to me. She's very down to earth, which I like—I've learned that all of my favorite creatives are.

When you’re not working, what are you doing?

Vintage shopping, hanging with friends or working on a project with someone.

What kind of projects?

Right now my sister and I are working a video concept that we are gonna work on when I'm back in LA. But besides working with her, I usually just put my clothing on people and take film pics.

What kind of stuff do you design?

I can only sew t-shirts and bad pants, but I draw what I plan to do one day.

If you could design with anyone, who would it be?

I gotta design by myself before I can think about that! But I really like YSL—predictable, yes, but I really like everyone I worked with there.

How was it moving from Florida to LA and getting into the world of fashion and art?

It was really cool. I got to drive my car over to LA, which I had done before, but not to move, so this time was a lot more intense for me. Weirdly getting into the fashion world kind of feels like a blur. I have only positive memories, though. My agency, Ford, they got me working quickly, so I didn't wait around much. Definitely helped my confidence.

What is your typical day-to-day look?

Baggy slacks, sneakers, soft very worn-in shirt with a nice graphic since it's summer.

You have such a laidback attitude, how does that translate into your work?

I don't get told that very much, but I like it! I'm usually pretty hyper. I only get tired if I'm bored, so I don't think it's an issue.

What kind of music do you like and what are you top 5 favorite songs right now.

1. "Start Wearing Purple" by Gogol Bordello

2. "It's All Right Ma" by Bob Dylan

3. "Ballad of a Thin Man" by Bob Dylan

4. "Lords of the Underground" by Chef Rocka

5. "Drop" by The Pharcyde

What is coming up next for you?

I can't predict the future, but hopefully designing.
