Microsoft Reveals Its Next Xbox Console

Setting a high bar with performance, speed and compatibility.

To much anticipation, Microsoft gave us a sneak peek of its newest console at the Game Awards 2019 yesterday. Dubbed Xbox Series X (and previously referred to as Project Scarlett), the gadget features a stripped-back design with a subtle silver logo at the corner, a disk slot and an exhaust fan at the top.

As highlighted in the world premiere trailer, the Series X features a long rectangular design, allowing it to be positioned horizontally or vertically. The new console is promised to be Microsoft’s fastest and most powerful ever, setting a new bar for performance, speed, and compatibility—allowing users to play your favorite games from across all four generations.

The new Xbox Series X also boasts world-class 4K visuals at 60FPS, with the possibility of up to 120FPS, including support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), and 8K capability. Together with next-generation SSD, the Series X will be fast and visually impressive at the same time.
