Largest Ever NBA Championship Rings Go to The Toronto Raptors

Drake got one, too.

The new 2019 NBA Championship Ring was revealed before their recent game between the Toronto Raptors and the New Orleans Pelicans. Along with the ring presentation, the team also unveiled a celebratory banner in the rafters of Scotiabank Arena to officially mark its first-ever championship title.

Encrusted with 14 carats’ worth of diamonds, each ring is embellished with up to 650 diamonds in total — the largest number of precious stones ever used in any professional championship ring. The Raptors are now boasting this jewelry piece is the largest NBA championship ring ever produced.

Here are the specs:

  •  1.25-carat diamond tops the Larry O’Brien Trophy, the largest single diamond in any professional sports ring
  • front of the ring depicts the Toronto skyline and Scotiabank Arena, as well as the team’s chevron logo
  • Scotiabank Arena is marked by six round diamonds representing “The Six” — a nickname for the city of Toronto, Canada popularized by Drake (Raptors global ambassador)
  • 74 diamonds around the face of the ring symbolize the Raptors’ 74 wins during the regular season and playoffs
  • 16 rubies and the 16 jersey numbers of the players on the championship roster encircle the ring
  • right side of the ring spotlight individual player’s name and number, while the opposite side features “World Champions 2019” above the Raptors’ logo
  • interior of the ring is engraved with the Raptors’ postseason series record and maple leaf with a ruby set in the center
