Numero 00 presented its new Spring/Summer 2022 collection at the Milan Fashion Week with a project that celebrates the power of music and human connection. The lineup debuted with a short film directed by Daniele Quadrelli, which follows a group of friends over a day in the city of Riccione, a project that highlights the city’s nightlife and energy.

Creative director Valerio Farina translated the Romagna Riviera’s beaches and the sea through a palette marked by light blue, pastel pink, and beige, along with black representing the nighttime. 

“Riccione has always been a reference point for European clubbing, an important cornerstone of this phenomenon linked to dance music, for years it has also been considered the Italian capital of entertainment,” Farina said in a press statement. “Riccione has always had this close link with music, it is in its DNA, it is pure vocation.”

The short film also puts the city’s architectural features at its center; as the city comes back to life, the sound of music feels even louder now. Throughout the clip, the characters scan QR codes that lead them to playlists, which are also printed on some of the designs – a project aptly called “Listen to your wardrobe.” Artists featured include Daft Punk, Moby, Alt-J, and Claudio Coccoluto, with tracks curated by Farina in collaboration with DJs and other artists. 

The collection features fluid pieces that are meant to suit the wearer from dusk to dawn. Relaxed sweats appear alongside shiny sequined designs; comfortable knits are featured next to BDSM-like straps. 

On the more casual side, highlights include the wavy black and peach sweat ensemble, the light blue hoodie, and the mustard sweater featuring the brand’s “00” logo pattern. The pastel pink suit also has its moment, along with the thin-striped graphite set. 

Accessories include versions of the label’s signature bucket hats and caps, along with athletic socks, and even a towel. The collection also features sportive backpacks in black and colorful combinations of light blue and pink.
